Free invites you to discover the new original Canal+ creation for free on the Freebox

New content offered on Freeboxes: the first 2 episodes of Loups Garous.

Free and Canal+ allow you to discover the channel’s new original creation for free on Freebox, which is based on Thiercelieux’s Loups-Garous, the best-selling French board game in the world. Canal+ transforms this cult game into a life-size social experience.

The filming of an extraordinary part of Les Loups-Garous took place in the heart of a French forest, in a village specially created for the occasion. Ex-DGSE agent, criminal lawyer, actress, mathematician… 13 players, experts in strategy and concealment, embark on this immersive experience where they will be pushed to their limits.

The broadcast of Loups-Garous begins this Friday at 9:00 p.m. on Canal+ and myCanal, and from today you can find the first 2 episodes for free in the Aktu Free section of the Freebox

Do you remember the rules of the game?

The rules of the Werewolves game are simple: the players each receive a card, on which their (secret) identity is written. They can be simple villagers or fearsome werewolves. The villagers’ goal is to unmask and eliminate the werewolves, while the werewolves’ goal is to avoid being unmasked and to exterminate the villagers.

The game takes place in several rounds, which alternate day and night. A game leader, who does not receive a card, sets the pace for the game (this is the famous phrase “the village goes to sleep” and “the village wakes up”. That’s it, does that come to mind?). During the night, all participants must close their eyes. The game leader then invites the werewolves to open their eyes (“the werewolves wake up”), and to agree on a victim to be killed.

When the village wakes up in the morning, the game leader announces which player has been eliminated by the werewolves. A village meeting then takes place, during which the remaining players must agree to accuse one of them, with the aim of unmasking the werewolves. Once the majority is obtained, the identity of the accused player is revealed, and he is eliminated – whether he is a werewolf… or a simple villager. The game continues until one side has been completely eliminated. This is the principle that Fary and Panayotis Pascot’s show takes up.
