Laëtitia Milot will not have the pleasure of discovering the splendor of the Château de Neuville. Now at the helm of “Best Pastry Chef” on M6, in place of Marie Portolano, the actress discovered in “Plus belle la vie” will show off her hosting stripes in a completely new setting. During the two previous editions, won by Manon and Julia, it was the 16th century building located in Gambais, in Yvelines, which housed sweet tooths and their crazy imagination. A country estate which also served as a filming location for the films “Dangerous connections” Stephen Frears in 1988, “Cyrano de Bergerac by Jean-Paul Rappeneau in 1990 or even ” Donkey skin” by Jacques Demy in 1970. But, for this thirteenth season, which starts this Thursday, October 10, the teams of the culinary competition had to fall back on a new spot.
A very specific criterion required by M6
Contacted by “Télé-Loisirs”, Jérémie Atlan, director of entertainment at BBC Studios France, explained the root of the problem. “The Château de Neuville was not available because it was under construction and could not accommodate us,” he simply explained, very embarrassed by the situation. Because going in search of a place capable of hosting such a barnum, for at least a month, is no simpler than making a salted butter caramel. The channel wanted this haven of peace to meet specific criteria, the first being proximity to Paris for practical reasons, in particular for the travel of the production team and the fourteen participants. “We looked at all the castles that could accommodate us for so long, which had this water point, M6 was very keen on it, and which was not very far away. Because as soon as we go beyond 30 or 40 km, it’s more complicated to get there.”underlined Jérémie Atlan.

Where is the new castle of the “Meilleur Pâtissier” on M6?
Spotters of this nugget have finally found their happiness in Val-de-Marne, where the Château d’Ormesson is located, nestled in the commune of the same name. An architectural jewel built in the 16th century, and which caught all their attention. “We are not that far from Paris and we have rarely had such a beautiful castle. If we can, we would like to keep it for next year.” welcomed the former artistic director, ready to sign a long-term lease with this historic estate. Cyril Lignac and Mercotte, like the candidates, also hope to become baba.
