The building concerned is 101, rue de l’Université, in the 7th arrondissement of Paris. This is where part of the MPs’ offices are located. Meteorologist Guillaume Séchet, who also shared images of the flooded National Assembly, specifies on “Paris has recorded 65 mm of rain since this (Wednesday) morning, the largest accumulation of an autumn day since 1920”.

Passing first through the Iberian Peninsula, Kirk caused damage in Portugal. A month of rain was expected in one day on an axis going from Vendée to Champagne-Ardenne, to the south of Picardy via the Paris region.
