InnoTrans 2024 ends in Berlin, breaking all records

The 14th edition of InnoTrans, one of the largest international exhibitions dedicated to rail transport and mobility technologies, ended Friday in Berlin, recording several records, including an exceptional attendance estimated at 170,000 visitors.

Inaugurated last Tuesday in the German capital, this biennial event focused on artificial intelligence and sustainability welcomed visitors from 133 countries as well as 2,940 exhibitors, a number never equaled before, representing 59 countries, all professionals in the transport industry sector.

Another record recorded by InnoTrans 2024 is that of the largest exhibition area ever occupied since the creation of the Show in 1996, i.e. 200,000 square meters, as well as the life-size presentation of 133 vehicles on 3.5 km of tracks specially designed outdoors for the occasion.

“InnoTrans 2024 was a record edition, both in terms of exhibition space and the number of visitors. We have exceeded the pre-pandemic attendance, once again confirming that InnoTrans is the key event of the global rail industry,” said Dirk Hoffmann, COO of Messe Berlin, the event organizer. .

Morocco took part in this global railway mass with a large delegation led by the Director General of the National Railway Office (ONCF), Mohamed Rabie Khlie, and two important stands, from ONCF and Morocco TraIndustry (MTI) Cluster.

InnoTrans 2024 was therefore an opportunity to highlight the strategic positioning of the Kingdom in the fields of mobility and the rail industry and offered actors in the Moroccan public and private rail ecosystem the opportunity to explore the latest technological advances, with the aim of remaining at the forefront of innovations and strengthening their international partnerships.

The Moroccan presence was welcomed by the Federal Minister of Digital and Transport, Volker Wissing, who considered that the Kingdom’s participation in this world-renowned event is part of its strong commitment to the development of railways. .

During his visit to the ONCF stand, the federal official also declared that Morocco is a “very important” partner for Germany in terms of cooperation in the areas of mobility, transport and railway infrastructure.

The next InnoTrans exhibition will be held at the Messe Berlin exhibition center from September 22 to 25, 2026.
