Apple unveils its new Watch Series 10 and a new color for its Watch Ultra 2

Apple has unveiled its largest and thinnest Apple Watch yet for the smartwatch’s anniversary.

Launched in 2014, the Apple Watch celebrates its tenth anniversary this year. To mark this anniversary, Apple presented a new edition, the Apple Watch Series 10, during its annual keynote.

This one benefits from some changes. It has a larger OLED screen, larger even than the Apple Watch Ultra. Its contours are rounder. It is also the thinnest Apple Watch, with a thickness of 9.7 mm and the one that charges the fastest, allowing to gain 80% battery in just 30 minutes.

The Apple Watch Series 10 also comes in titanium for the stainless steel versions. The Apple Watch’s speaker has also been improved, allowing users to listen to music and podcasts from the watch, without having Airpods.

New feature for Apple Watch

Apple is also bringing new features. The Apple Watch Series 10 includes a major new health feature: the sleep apnea detection. This syndrome is characterized by the occurrence of abnormally frequent episodes of interruptions or reductions in breathing during sleep. This feature will also be available on the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2.

Apple, however, did not present a third version of the Apple Watch Ultra, its watch designed for extreme sports. Instead, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 benefits from a new color: black titanium. Apple has also extended its partnership with Hermès to its watch dedicated to extreme sports to offer a new screen but also for new bracelets.

Available for pre-order starting September 9, these three new watches will be released on September 20, starting at $399 for the Apple Watch Series 10 and $799 for the Apple Watch Ultra.
