The Franco-Swiss actress, who is making her first film, hopes to spark a debate on our relationship with other species, with nature and with otherness.

This is the story of a dog that would be judged as a man. Because animals, the defense argues, are not things. For having bitten women, he is accused of misogyny, called to the bar, liable to a death sentence. The story, a priori fanciful, is that of Lætitia Dosch’s first film. Laughing, she describes him as“a little surreal”, “sometimes incorrect, there is several mention of fingers in the ass.” But this comedy, maintains the actress and director, is above all intended to feed a “thought process”, a path that she continues, as regards our relationship with other species: “If we exploit them, in the long term, it will lead to the destruction of our habitat, and therefore, of ourselves.”

All the singularity of the Franco-Swiss is there, in this disconcerting alloy of warm fantasy, sensitivity and deep reflection. “There are no two like her. She is intelligent, lively, generous and very amazing,” praises François Damiens, who stars in his film.
