THE SPORTS SCAN – China achieved two perfect podiums in the 50m backstroke, both men and women.

We knew that China was often uncompromising in swimming, but to this extent… In two races, the country which largely holds first place in the medal standings, simply took six medals.

In the men’s 50m backstroke (S5) to start, Weiyi Yuan won in 32.47 ahead of his two compatriots Jincheng Guo (33.02) and Lichao Wang (33.06).
