The Marseille artist’s teams were targeted about ten days ago by a fatal shooting at the exit of a nightclub where he had just performed in La Grande Motte. One of his relatives was injured and a second died.

He will not be celebrating the tenth anniversary of the Delta Festival on the Marseille coast. Headlining the festival which opens this Wednesday, the Marseille rapper SCH has cancelled his participation. The announcement was made on the festival’s social networks on Tuesday around 4 p.m., “due to recent events experienced by the artist.”
On the night of 25 to 26 August, a close friend of SCH was shot dead and another seriously injured on Monday at dawn, as they were leaving the famous La Dune nightclub in La Grande Motte, where the artist had just performed. An investigation has been opened for “murder by an organised gang, attempted murder by an organised gang and participation in a criminal association with a view to preparing the aforementioned crimes”.
Confirmation at the beginning of the week
According to a source close to the case, the two victims were on board one of the vehicles that SCH, 31, whose real name is Julien Schwarzer, usually uses. The passenger, who died, was hit by two bullets in the chest and the driver was seriously injured. His life is in danger, according to gendarmerie sources.
The Delta Festival was the next date planned by the artist after this tragedy. “Confirmation of this cancellation was communicated to us by its producer at the beginning of the week.”Delta said in a statement. SCH was scheduled to perform this Wednesday from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m.
