Where will it be the hottest for the start of the school year?

Despite a disturbed day in several areas of the country, the mercury should still, locally, exceed 30°C this Monday, September 2.

What will the weather be like for the start of the school year? As forecast by Météo-France for this Monday, September 2, the weather should still be nice over a very large part of the country, despite the arrival of several disturbances, including one in the east of the country that began on Sunday.

Throughout the day, several showers and thunderstorms are to be noted in Brittany, but also in the extreme south-east of the country and Corsica, with cloudy skies which will still be very present throughout the day.

On the other hand, still in the morning, beautiful clearings are to be noted over a wide band extending from the Ardennes to the Mediterranean coast. An improvement which should continue in the afternoon and open up towards the east, from the North to the Toulouse region.

The 31°C mark has been exceeded

Temperatures will be quite mild in the morning despite a minimum of 13°C in Aurillac. It should be 15°C in Brest and Rennes, 16°C in Bourges and Angoulême, 17°C in Bordeaux and Limoges, 19°C in Paris and Strasbourg or 21°C in Marseille and 24°C in Nice.

In the afternoon, the mercury should rise quite significantly with 23°C in Rouen, 24°C in Aurillac, 25°C in Paris, 26°C in Limoges and 27°C in Dijon. In the south of the country, the thirty degree mark will be exceeded with 30°C in Montpellier, 31°C in Perpignan or Marseille, 32°C in Ajaccio and 33°C in Montélimar.
