Intense fighting at the gates of the large city of Goma resumed on Sunday in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, between the Congolese army and the anti-government group M23, which is supported by Rwanda and its army.

The FPS Foreign Affairs is closely monitoring the rapid evolution of the situation in Goma and its surroundings, in close collaboration with the Belgian embassy in Kinshasa, he assured. The embassy is in close contact with the Belgians on site.
