The conclave expected this weekend on the socio-economic aspect ultimately did not take place. Instead of a meeting bringing together negotiators from the N-VA, MR, Engagés, Vooruit and CD&V, the trainer devoted the two days to bilateral interviews with representatives of the different parties.
The hope of a decisive breakthrough on Sunday on this aspect, the most sensitive of the formation of the federal government, was dashed on Saturday morning by Vooruit. The Flemish socialists have gathered their office: concerns are being heard within the party about the content of the socio-economic note, widely reported in the press, in particular on the question of the indexation of salaries and the “modesty” of the expected contribution from major heritage sites.
