An administrative error by the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) risks depriving Casa Sports of a significant sum, resulting from the solidarity contribution following the transfer of Nicolas Jackson, the club’s former striker, now under contract with Chelsea.
According to information obtained by Sport News Africathe FIFA clearing house rejected Casa Sports’ request for the solidarity contribution linked to Jackson’s transfer. The reason? The Senegalese Federation did not register Casa Sports in the player’s electronic passport, which prevents the club from asserting its rights to this sum.
The solidarity contribution is a sum equivalent to 5% of the total transfer compensation, distributed between the player’s training clubs, depending on his career between the ages of 12 and 23. In the case of Jackson, who played at Casa Sports during the 2018-2019 season, the amount the club could claim was around 121 million CFA francs (85,000 euros).
-However, the FSF’s error could also concern ASC Tilène, the team in which Jackson played before arriving at Casa Sports. If this club had correctly registered Jackson for the 2017-2018 season, it would also have been able to benefit from a share of this solidarity contribution.
