Ghent started the new year with a split against Dender (0-0). This once again highlights the urgent need for offensive reinforcement for Wouter Vrancken.
Andri Gudjohnsen is currently the only center forward available for the Ghent coach. But with three goals and two assists in thirty games, the Icelandic striker’s performance is clearly insufficient.
“If we want to aim for the top 6, we have to bring in another attacker,” Vrancken said again after the split against Dender.
Rwan Cruz
According to The NewspaperDante Vanzeir and Rwan Cruz are the two forwards targeted by the Buffalos. The Brazilian striker from Ludogorets will not be easy to sign, however. Indeed, his club would prefer to sell him next summer. Only an offer of eight million euros could change the Bulgarian club’s mind.
-This is obviously too high a sum for Ghent, but the people of Ghent are not losing hope: “Cruz remains their priority, even if other options are considered,” concludes the Dutch-speaking media.
A surface fox
Rwan Cruz has an eye for goal. This season, he has already scored 10 goals and provided 3 assists in 18 league matches.
