Early this Monday morning, a fire ravaged a home in Wingles, in Pas-de-Calais. Despite an important emergency system, the human toll is extremely heavy with three deaths according to our colleagues from the Voice of the North.
We still do not know in what circumstances the fire broke out in this house which housed a family of six people, but it took around thirty men and three water hoses to put it out. Even before the firefighters arrived, two young boys aged 11 and 12 had been pulled out of their burning house by a neighbor. The father of the family was at work.
Three dead in the fire
But inside the house there was still the mother, aged 37, and her two daughters, aged 9 and 16. It is their bodies that the emergency services will eventually find once the fire is under control.
-An investigation is opened on the charge of “destruction by fire leading to death”, and entrusted to the interdepartmental service of the Pas-de-Calais judicial police (SIPJ), added the prosecutor to AFP.
