A pileup involving around ten cars and heavy trucks created a major traffic jam on Highway 20, near Saint-Appolinaire, Wednesday morning.

The accident occurred shortly before 10 a.m., near kilometer 294 eastbound. In all likelihood, weather conditions may have been a contributing factor.
Several trailers were requested to clear the lanes, while two heavy goods vehicles and a few other cars collided with each other. The right lane was still blocked at 11 a.m.
The event caused some minor injuries, but there was no fear for the life of any motorist, according to the Sûreté du Québec.
