(Keystone-ATS) The magistrate considered that the accusation of assassination was made in the case of the defendant, an Italian-Ivorian car salesman. On the other hand, there is nothing to establish that her friend knew the nature of the homemade silencer found at the scene of the crime, nor its destination and even less the criminal project of her companion, although her DNA was found on this object.

Under these conditions, an acquittal is necessary and the costs must be borne by the Confederation, concluded the prosecutor. He added that, given the seriousness of the facts, it had not been possible to acquit the accused within the framework of a simplified procedure.

The Prosecutor’s Office has now moved on to the rapes and kidnappings committed against two former partners.
