The Malian authorities defend themselves against “Algerian interference” by highlighting the recent successes of the Malian Armed Forces (FAMa) against terrorist groups despite “the implicit support of Algeria”. The Malian government denounces the Algerian attempt at destabilization at a time when Mali is seeking to consolidate its sovereignty and security. He also launched a new call for Algeria to refocus its efforts on its own internal challenges, including those linked to the Kabyle region. He also urges him to stop using the Malian situation as a lever for his geopolitical ambitions. Furthermore, Mali reiterates its determination to eradicate terrorism in all its forms. He emphasizes the importance of cooperation with its regional allies, notably Burkina Faso and Niger, within the framework of the AES Confederation. This tripartite partnership is presented as a solid and independent alternative to counter terrorist threats in the Sahel.
