the essential
The solidarity New Year’s Eve, organized by the association Citoyens pour une Dynamique Carmausine, involved 70 residents of the city.
“The objective was to offer people who are having difficulty having a good time together, to share this festive time with the volunteers of the association, to break their loneliness for some and to create social bonds”, recalls Agnès, volunteer at the association.
The project also allowed residents to get involved in the organization of the evening, and thus to be actors. “December 21, preparation, making and installing the decoration and the room, New Year’s Eve 22 and 23, tidying up and cleaning.”
On the big day, with family, friends or alone, 70 people took their place in the magnificently decorated room of the Dynamo cultural café, thanks in part to Lulu, a Dynamo volunteer, nicknamed “Lulu the golden fingers” and her entire team , and to the volunteers who worked in the kitchen, including Martine, delighted with this evening. “In the kitchen, everyone had a specific position. In this kitchen, the ants were busy with their tasks and they were swarming everywhere. The understanding was superb and we were ultimately very satisfied with our work. The reward was… ‘admirable evening spent all together, it was magnificent.’
A succulent holiday meal, and on the Dynamo stage a duo of talented musicians “La Bretelle”, Fabien on accordion, Aladin on guitar and singing, who livened up the evening in a beautiful way, with popular songs and festive events known to all, between waltz, tango, and paso-doble.
The two musicians were joined at the end of the concert by Marie-Pierre, artist and singer who participated in the evening for a much appreciated moment of musical sharing.
For Jean-Luc, who arrived with a magnificent Santa hat screwed on his head: “It was great”.
Finally, let’s remember that this evening was made possible thanks to La Fondation de France “The Foundation of All Causes”, which created and finances Solidarity Eve.
“Without the Fondation de France, which we warmly thank, we would not have been able to bring this moment of happiness to people who live in precariousness and for the most part in social isolation,” concludes Agnès.
