The judicial police services in the Aïn Sebaâ-Hay Mohammadi district, in coordination with the General Directorate of National Territorial Surveillance, carried out, on Sunday, December 22, the arrest of an individual suspected of being the author of a deliberate act of injury by collision with a vehicle and material damage caused to the glass front of a fast food establishment.
Identity checks revealed that the suspect, aged 31, is a repeat offender known to the justice services and is the subject of nationwide search warrants for two separate cases linked to illegal drug trafficking. and psychotropic substances.
According to the first elements of the investigation, the suspect, driving a rented vehicle, had a chance dispute with employees of a fast food establishment located in the Aïn Sebaâ area. This conflict was allegedly caused by an obstruction of traffic in the area reserved for customers placing their orders from their vehicles. This disagreement allegedly led the suspect to intentionally hit four employees with his vehicle, injuring them, while causing significant material damage to the glass facade of the establishment.
In-depth investigations made it possible to locate and arrest the individual in question, who had in the meantime abandoned the vehicle initially used to carry out the acts. When he was arrested, he was in another car and was carrying 44 doses of the drug known as “poufa” as well as pieces of cannabis resin, in addition to a sum of money. suspected of coming from the trafficking of narcotics and illicit substances.
The suspect was placed in police custody under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities, in accordance with the instructions of the prosecution, in order to determine the precise circumstances and motives leading to these criminal acts.
