Me Moussa Diop accuses Ousmane Sonko of alliance with his former enemies

Guest of the Grand Jury program on Radio Futurs Médias (RFM) this Sunday, Me Moussa Diop, former director general of Dakar Dem Dikk, expressed his deep indignation at the dissolution of the Diomaye President coalition. During his speech, he did not mince his words towards Ousmane Sonko, whom he accused of having sacrificed his allies to associate with controversial political figures.

According to Me Moussa Diop, Ousmane Sonko would have dismissed his initial coalition partners to conclude an alliance with members of the Alliance for the Republic (APR), although considered his former adversaries. He denounces what he perceives as a betrayal of the principles that united the coalition. “What was done was Pastef, it was Ousmane Sonko who chose to put aside those who supported him during the victory of March 24, to seek out those who had opposed his candidacy and had him imprisoned, I am talking about transhumants,” declared Me Moussa Diop firmly.

The former leader of Dakar Dem Dikk notably criticized Sonko's attitude towards the members of the Diomaye President coalition, recalling their key role in the victory of the opposition in past elections. He believes that the choice to integrate political figures from the APR, described as “transhumants”, constitutes a break with the ideals held by the coalition.
