Maïté had been spotted by a producer in Rion-des-Landes
In her youth, Maïté worked as an announcer for the SNCF and sounded the arrival of trains with a trumpet. She was spotted in 1983 by producer Patrice Bellot during a report within the Rion-des-Landes rugby club.
