The famous cook Maïté breathed her last on the night of December 20 to 21, 2024 at the age of 86. For several years, the woman who was actually called Marie-Thérèse Ordonez had lived in the Rion-des-Landes EPHAD. Maïté had been spotted by a producer in Rion-des-Landes

In her youth, Maïté worked as an announcer for the SNCF and sounded the arrival of trains with a trumpet. She was spotted in 1983 by producer Patrice Bellot during a report within the Rion-des-Landes rugby club.
