REFLET celebrates its second anniversary at UCAD2

This Saturday, December 21, the Network of Women Leaders around Thierno Amadou Ba (REFLET) celebrated its second anniversary in a full conference room at UCAD2. The choice of this year's theme, “Female leadership in education: the educational role of women in a changing society”, brought together a diverse audience including academics, diplomats and religious figures. This celebration was marked by powerful speeches in favor of the empowerment of Senegalese women, reports Sud Quotidien.

Adja Binta Ndiaye, president of REFLET, stressed that the organization strives to encourage the social development of women, promote female entrepreneurship and allow better access to financing. Since its creation two years ago, REFLET has structured itself to become a key player fighting to improve the socio-economic conditions of women. This commitment is reflected in an active presence in several regions of the world. “REFLET is a framework for reflection on the economic and social future of women,” declared Ms. Ndiaye.

Thierno Amadou Ba, the Caliph General of Bambilor, also expressed his thanks to the guests, including godfather Amadou François Gaye and godmother Awa Diop Ndiaye, for their support and inspiring teachings. He spoke of the Central African delegation present, emphasizing the importance of international solidarity and REFLET's commitment to establishing peace. According to Sud Quotidien, he expressed the wish that Minister Ngoné Ndoye become honorary president of REFLET.

During this event, content-rich and educational speeches were delivered. Among the speakers, we found Professor Ben Omar Ndiaye, former minister Ngoné Ndoye, and Oustaz Idrissa Gaye. They raised awareness about tolerance and solidarity, as well as practical topics such as reducing excessive spending on family ceremonies. These contributions made it possible to strengthen REFLET's objective of promoting the empowerment of women while maintaining strong ethical values, according to Sud Quotidien.
