The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is launching, in partnership with the HCP, a call for national consultation in order to strengthen the visibility of census results through digital channels, including social networks, the HCP websites and through the media. The details.

The High Commission for Planning (HCP) continues to be part of a 360° multi-channel communication strategy in order to popularize the results of the General Population and Housing Census (RGPH 2024). The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is launching, in partnership with the HCP, a call for national consultation in order to strengthen the visibility of census results through digital channels, including social networks, the HCP websites and through the media. Thus, the HCP wishes to capitalize on the tools already produced as part of the communication campaign around data collection, namely the series of thematic capsules. He also wants to create new tools, in this case a series of motion design video capsules and thematic infographics. These new communication tools will illustrate the main themes of the RGPH 2024 and will allow for better understanding and collective appropriation of information for use of the data collected by all stakeholders. The content of these tools relates to the following themes: demography, housing conditions, health services, internal and international migration, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through this call for consultation, the aim is to popularize the results of the RGPH 2024 by presenting them in an intuitive, visual, dynamic and engaging manner for an optimal understanding of the different themes addressed. It is also a question of strengthening the understanding and appropriation of data by a wide audience, by adopting an educational and visual approach. Among other objectives, this is to support the transparency and credibility of the information published by the HCP on the RGPH 2024. The consultant will be responsible for updating existing motion design videos that have been published to inform and engage the population at RGPH 2024. These are 12 thematic capsules, each presenting figures relating to the population, taken from previous censuses. In this sense, the consultant will have to integrate the new data from the results of the RGPH 2024. He will have to produce 8 videos of 1 minute each in Arabic with French subtitles. One of the 8 videos will be adapted into Amazigh. In addition, he will have to design 20 infographics on the themes of the RGPH allowing the main results of the RGPH 2024 to be visualized in a clear and synthetic manner. These infographics must be optimized for digital use, in particular for publications on social networks. The language used in each infographic will be defined by the HCP. As a reminder, according to the results of the RGPH of 2024, the legal population of the Kingdom reached 36,828,330 inhabitants on September 1, 2024, including 36,680,178 Moroccans and 148,152 foreigners. Compared to the 2014 census, the number of the population recorded an absolute increase of 2,980,088 inhabitants, i.e. an average annual growth rate of 0.85% during this period, compared to 1.25% between 2004. and 2014. The number of foreigners residing in the Kingdom increased by 61,946 between 2014 and 2024, an annual increase of 5.6%. In urban areas, the population reached 23,110,108 inhabitants, with an increase of 2,677,669 between 2014 and 2024, an average annual growth rate of 1.24%. In rural areas, the population reached 13,718,222 inhabitants, an increase of 302,419 compared to the 2014 census and an average annual growth rate of 0.22%. Since 1960, the population of Morocco has more than tripled and increased by more than 25 million inhabitants in 2024, although the demographic growth observed throughout this period is in continuous decline. The average growth rate increased from 2.6% between 1960 and 1982 to 1.25% between 2004 and 2014 and reached 0.85% between 2014 and 2024.
