Morocco has made training and capacity building major elements of cooperation with Chad, said the Kingdom’s ambassador to N’Djamena, Abdellatif Erroja.
This choice allowed thousands of Chadian nationals to train in Morocco and actively contribute to the progress of their country in the public and private sectors, noted the diplomat during a ceremony organized recently in honor of the selected students. this year to benefit from scholarships in the field of professional training in Morocco in different specialties.
In this context, the two countries decided, four years ago, to extend this model of cooperation to the field of professional training, he recalled, noting that this is a strategic sector and of an essential economic lever to attract investments, improve competitiveness and above all promote the employability and integration of young graduates into socio-economic life through courses adapted to the needs of economic sectors in qualified human resources.
As in past years, a quota of 50 scholarships is reserved for Chadian students for the year 2024-2025 with the objective of diversifying training courses and focusing on important areas capable of meeting the needs of the labor market and support for Chad’s development policy such as tourism, digitalization, automation and engineering works, underlined the ambassador.
In this sense, he mentioned the professional sectors from which the Chadian scholarship holders selected this year will benefit, citing, among others, atomization and industrial instrumentation, civil engineering, hotel management, mechanical engineering, digital development and topography.
Mr. Erroja also announced that the quota of scholarships in the field of professional training granted by the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation to Chad will now be increased to 80 scholarships per year instead of 50.
This increase in scholarships will also concern academic and university training, including the training of doctors and engineers, the diplomat said.
This ceremony took place in the presence of the Chadian Secretary of State at the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Professional Training Abakar Moussa Kalle.
