A teacher of Life and Earth Sciences (SVT), Colane Faye, aged around 44 and working at the Diouma Cor Faye high school in Ndiaganiao, narrowly escaped death in the village of Thiandène, located in the commune of Ndiaganiao.
According to seneweb, the teacher, who had been suffering from psychological disorders for a long time, went alone near an unsecured well, about fifty meters from the family home, and deliberately threw himself into it, taking advantage of the absence of family members.

A woman who was observing the scene nearby raised the alarm, which allowed residents to quickly mobilize. Using a rope, they managed to rescue the professor, who was extracted from the well unharmed, even before the firefighters arrived. After the intervention of the Ndiaganiao gendarmes to observe the facts, the victim was evacuated by the firefighters to the Grand Mbour hospital to receive the necessary care.
