A teenager aged around fifteen was able to get out of the accident vehicle and take refuge in a neighboring house to raise the alarm. Two other people, certainly his parents, were not able to get out.
A major rescue system was put in place on Sunday evening to try to help them, with rescue specialists in dangerous environments, firefighters-divers and a helicopter.
In total, 44 firefighters responded to the scene.
The two other occupants were eventually found, one in the car, the other in the water. They were in cardiorespiratory arrest and could not be revived. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
