The election of Miss France 2025 delivered its verdict on Saturday December 14, 2024. That day, the ceremony intended to crown the most beautiful woman in France for the coming year was broadcast live on TF1 from the Arena Futuroscope from Poitiers. At the end of the evening, the viewers and the jury made the decision to crown Miss Martinique 2024Angélique Angarni-Filopon. An air hostess by profession, the latter therefore took over from Eve Gilles, becoming at the same time the first beauty queen from Martinique to win the Miss France election. “By becoming Miss Martinique, there was a possibility that I would become Miss France. And perhaps a sign: I was the 14th regional Miss elected, on September 14, and it is December 14. But at each regional election, I said to myself, oh yeah they are very beautiful, and I saw victory slipping away. I thought it would be great, this experience. But it was very, very far away, in my head, from telling myself that I was going to win“, she declared in particular in the columns of Parisian after his election.
Aged 34, Angélique Angarni-Filopon was the oldest candidate in the competition this year. “I am reminded of my age all the time, I think I am well preserved. I don't have any wrinkles. Thirties is perhaps the best age. In my twenties I searched a lot for myself, I wanted to be like everyone else“, she also specified on this subject. For the record, if Miss Martinique 2024 was able to present herself in the election of Miss France 2025, it is in particular thanks to the new rules put in place by the Miss committee France for several years Unfortunately, the rules of the Miss World competition are much stricterwhich will prevent Angélique Angarni-Filopon from representing France during the next edition. Indeed, candidates must not be married or mothers to participate. Additionally, they do not have to be born in the country they represent. But they must, however, reside there. Finally, the age limit is between 16 and 27 years old, which automatically disqualifies Miss France 2025.
Who will represent France during the Miss World 2025 competition instead of Angélique Angarni-Filopon?
Consequently, the Miss France committee will have to set your sights on one of Angélique Angarni-Filopon’s runners-up to represent France during Miss World 2025. They will also be able to call on a former Miss who has never yet participated in this competition. This is particularly the case of Eve Gilles (Miss France 2024, editor’s note). However, the former Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais has made it clear in recent interviews that her new goal is to represent France in the next edition of the Miss Universe pageant.
