Two people were injured during the night from Saturday to Sunday in the Ville-Marie borough, in Montreal, during a conflict which allegedly degenerated with two other individuals.

Around 3:30 a.m., Sunday morning, two people were attacked at the corner of René-Lévesque Boulevard Est and Montcalm Street, in the Ville-Marie borough. They are a 26-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman.
The man was injured in the lower body by a sharp object, the woman in the upper body by a blunt object. Both were transported to hospital, but there is no fear for their lives.
“According to witnesses who saw the event, it was a conflict that degenerated with two other people,” underlines Sabrina Gauthier, spokesperson for the Montreal City Police Service (SPVM).
These two other people were arrested. They are two men aged 18 and 22; they will be met by investigators during the day.
On Sunday around 9 a.m., the security perimeter that had been erected at the scene for investigation purposes was removed.
