Daan Heymans missed his penalty this Saturday against OHL. Tobe Leysen had worked on the subject well…
What if Daan Heymans had committed professional misconduct? We are of course not talking here about the fact that the Sporting Charleroit attacking midfielder missed a penalty – that can happen to anyone.
But during his appearance in the podcast 90 Minuteson SporzaHeymans may well have given a “trick” to the goalkeepers, as his counterpart explained.
Faced with him this Saturday, Tobe Leysen took the risk of staying in the middle at the time of the strike. “It’s not often for a goalie to stay in the middle, and you can sometimes look stupid if you do, but Heymans had mentioned something about it on his podcast,” the OHL goalie told microphone, precisely, of Sporza after the meeting.
“So I said to myself that I would try my luck. Stopping this penalty does all the more good as we take the three points behind,” rejoices Leysen. OHL is back in the standings thanks to this victory, giving itself some breathing room and even overtaking Charleroi.
Daan Heymans, for his part, experienced a nightmare evening. He himself admitted after the match that during the week, he had already experienced some problems from the penalty spot (read here). Perhaps Rik De Mil will draw conclusions for the future…
