The president of the CRT Fès-Meknes, Ahmed Sentissi, underlined the strategic importance of this workshop with travel agents from Montpellier and its region.

He insisted on the role of these meetings in promoting the Fez-Meknes destination to the French tourist market and in developing lasting partnerships with professionals in the sector.

Ahmed Sentissi recalled the constant efforts made by the CRT to diversify the regional tourism offer and adapt its promotional strategy to the requirements of the international market, in particular by focusing on niches such as cultural tourism, hydrotherapy, ecotourism and .

He specified that this workshop was part of a broader strategy of collaboration with , materialized by partnerships concluded with five French airports, including Montpellier, to increase air connectivity and the flow of tourists.

Ahmed Sentissi also highlighted the CRT’s desire to position the Fès-Meknes region as a leading tourist destination in Morocco and Africa, by capitalizing on its cultural and historical wealth, the diversity of its landscapes and the quality of its infrastructure.

He notably mentioned the important tourist events organized by the region, such as the CRT Golf Cup and the FITAM, which contribute to strengthening its visibility and attractiveness among national and international tourists.

These partnerships with French airports, he added, are essential to facilitate access to the region and support the growth of the tourism sector.

The director of a travel creation agency in Montpellier, Thierry Vallon, expressed his enthusiasm about the tourist potential of the Fez-Meknes region, saying he was “pleasantly surprised” by the cultural and historical richness of Fez, as well as by the safety and cleanliness there.

With his 40 years of experience in international tourism, he stressed the importance of further developing the region’s cultural tourism product to attract European customers.

Thierry Vallon underlined his intention to create two tourist circuits (4 and 6 days) specifically dedicated to the Fez-Meknes region, in partnership with airlines, and encouraged the CRT to continue its efforts to promote this unique destination to the public. European market.

He concluded by affirming his conviction that Fez-Meknes has all the assets to become a flagship destination for cultural tourism.
