“Abysmal deficit”

For Maxime Prévot, the time taken for these negotiations is justified in the consequences of the decisions that will be taken: “The measures we are going to have to take will make people cringe […] OWe must take measures that will structurally impact millions of people for decades. Sometimes on pensions, sometimes on public services, sometimes on the labor market, sometimes on taxation. We are the generation that must make decisions that put Belgium back on track, at the risk of being politically damaged and suffering the consequences during the next election. We have a duty to make difficult choices“, he explains to our colleagues.
