Who says AI, says OpenAI! As part of its series of Advent calendar announcements, the company revealed its new surprise this Thursday, December 12: the arrival of Santa Claus within ChatGPT! Starting today, users can chat with him using voice mode. Enough to allow you to speak in person with the old gentleman! Santa Claus will answer them “in his jovial and characteristic voice” selon OpenAI.
Santa Claus in ChatGPT: light and temporary conversations
Santa Claus is available through the “Voice Advanced” voice mode, available since October 22. With it, the AI is capable of speaking with a natural language, accepts being interrupted, gives the impression of thinking with noises, can imitate emotions and even has the ability to play roles. And, frankly, the result is impressive.
OpenAI offers several voices for this mode, so that you can personalize the tone of your assistant. From December 12, a new voice appears: “Santa Claus”. She can chat about anything and everything, tell stories, ask the children questions or give advice on gifts.
To chat with Santa, simply click on the snowflake icon in the ChatGPT input field. The voice selector will then open, allowing you to choose “Santa Claus” and then start chatting. It is also possible to select this voice from the settings, by clicking on “Voice”. Everything is available in French, although Santa has a slight accent – but that adds a little charm!
