Marie-Andrée Labbé, the author of “STAT”, looks back on the shock finale before the holidays

If you watched the final episode of STAT before the holiday break, broadcast Thursday evening on ICI Télé, there is a good chance that you had trouble getting to sleep. The last moments, particularly striking, shocked many spectators. And to whom do we owe this remarkable moment? To the author of the series, Marie-Andrée Labbé, who fully accepts it: it was intentional!

As you have discovered, two characters much loved by the public find themselves in serious danger. On one side, Delphine (Virginie Ranger-Beauregard) is suffering from what appears to be a heart attack. On the other, Steve (Marc Beaupre), in full psychosis, stabs Philippe (Patrick Labbe) when the latter tries to call for help. The fate of these two characters remains uncertain, which plunges viewers into palpable anxiety. On the show’s Facebook page, hypotheses are flying around and testify to great excitement among fans.

To take the pulse of this reception and thank the millions of faithful who follow this daily medical -Marie-Andrée Labbé wanted to send them a little word:

“You just saw the last episode of Stat before the holiday break. Have you caught your breath? You’re probably going to be angry with me for leaving you there… That was of course my intention.

I want to highlight the exceptional work of the actresses and actors and the entire production team, who once again outdid themselves for this mid-season finale. Special thanks to Judith, top quality essential support, and our medical consultants who help us develop storylines like that of Anne-Marie, the toxic patient!

I want to thank you once again for your diligence and your enthusiasm for each of the intrigues that we have offered you since September. I also salute your imagination; some fans have even more twisted theories than mine and that’s great! (Ex: What if the fake internist was an accomplice of Leïla Ferrer (season 1) who arrives to take revenge on Sophia? Wow! I couldn’t have done better!)

And I want to apologize to all the arachnophobes in Quebec, who wrote to me to tell me that they had nightmares or that they had to completely deprive themselves of watching a few episodes… I am counting on your families to give you a summary during the holiday season. There also seems to be a shortage of spider-shaped doggies in Quebec. I like to think we had something to do with it!

Take care of yourself and come back to us in good shape, because I’m telling you… you’ll need a strong heart for the future.

Happy Holidays!
