According to the South Korean daily Chosun IlboSamsung plans to equip the Galaxy Z Flip 7 with an Exynos 2500 processor. The Korean manufacturer’s chip is known to be less efficient than the Qualcomm Snapdragon which the Galaxy S25 will feature. Disappointing performances ahead?
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 would have an Exynos 2500 chip
According to one of South Korea’s oldest newspapers, Samsung would therefore opt for its own solution, an Exynos 2500 chip, while its foldable smartphones have always been equipped with Qualcomm solutions until now.

Samsung’s move follows its progress in 3nm manufacturing. One of the managers of Samsung Electronics confirms this choice (half-heartedly) for the media: “We did encounter difficulties in mass production when applying the Gate-All-Around process for the first time in the second generation of the 3-nanometer foundry process. However, the process has now been stabilized, and the start of production of mass is only a matter of time. Although it seems difficult to equip the Galaxy S25 series due to insufficient supply, it should be feasible for the premium models of the Z Flip series.
The manager only talks about “Z Flip series premium models”which suggests that the next generation will be equipped with the Exynos 2500 chip. It is possible that the Galaxy Z Flip FE will be entitled to the same processor as the Galaxy S24 FE, the Exynos 2400e SoC.
And Chosun Ilbo is a reputable source, it should be noted that Samsung has not made any official announcement. We still have to wait until 2025 to learn more about the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
