A 39-year-old Montrealer who shot at a tugboat as he prepared to move his vehicle to allow snow removal operations was arrested Tuesday evening in Pointe-aux-Trembles.
The Montreal City Police Service (SPVM) was called around 9:45 p.m. for shots heard on Forsyth Street, near Tercentenaire Boulevard.
According to preliminary information, a conflict regarding towing, due to a snow removal operation, degenerated between several individuals.

It was in this context that the suspect allegedly fired at least one shot towards the victims, but no one was injured.
The police officers dispatched to the scene arrested the thirty-year-old who was met by investigators at the investigation center where he was transported.
“He could face charges of armed assault and discharging a firearm,” said SPVM spokesperson Anthony Dorelas.
Paramedics rescued a 19-year-old man for nervous shock, according to Montreal police who mobilized the dog handler in the search for evidence.
The scene was protected for investigators who will travel to the scene to try to shed light on the exact circumstances surrounding this shooting.
