The AIVP Antoine Rufenacht Prize is the only international award dedicated to port cities maritime and river systems having carried out a remarkable development project aligned with the sustainable development objectives of the AIVP’s 2030 Agenda, which contributes to improving the City-Port relationship.
This first edition saw the participation of 23 international projects from various renowned ports. After a first phase of rigorous evaluation carried out by a jury of multidisciplinary international experts, six finalists were selected: Port of Los Angeles (United States), Port of Seattle (United States), HAROPA PORT Paris (France), Port of Oslo (Norway), Corporación Antiguo Puerto Madero (Argentina) et Port of Tangier-Ville (Morocco).

The AIVP Antoine Rufenacht Prize crowns more than a decade of continuous work, innovation and collaboration thanks to the contribution of all the actors and stakeholders of the City of Tangier. Through this project, we wanted to breathe new life into a port area steeped in history, transforming it into a model of sustainable and inclusive development. Thus, Tangier has been able to reinvent itself while remaining faithful to its identity.
