Upon his arrival Monday evening at theKing Khalid International Airport, Aziz Akhannouchwho was accompanied by the Minister of Equipment and Water, Nizar Barakawas welcomed by SA le Prince Fayçal Ben Abdelaziz Ben Ayyafmayor of Riyad.

The “One Water Summit“, which is held on the sidelines of the 16th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP16) of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD)is an initiative led by theSaudi Arabia in partnership with the the Kazakhstan and the World Bank to debate the water shortage in the world.

This edition, which sees the participation of French President Emmanuel Macronof President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the president of the World Bank Ajay Bangawill bring together hundreds of policy makers, business leaders and experts from around the world in the pavilion dedicated toSaudi Arabia’s Green Initiative in the green zone at the COP16 on desertification.

This event will include several thematic sessions aimed at exploring best practices, discovering the latest innovations and reviewing progress towards achieving the Initiative’s objectives, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation for a future more durable.
