In a statement to “MAP,” Ms. El Harrague explained that she chose to address human paradoxes, such as life and death, love and hatred, and other binary contradictions, adding that her works do not belong to a single artistic movement and that his artistic style falls more into the “semi-abstract”. She also emphasized that the theme of women occupies a particular place in her paintings, as a “symbol of freedom and strength”.
The young visual artist also indicated that this exhibition represents her first individual experience, after having participated in collective exhibitions with other artists, expressing her intention to continue her presence in other exhibitions in the future.
For his part, the head of the Cultural and Artistic Animation department at the Foundation, Radouane Mourai, announced that the “Paradoxes” exhibition is part of the series of cultural activities organized by the Foundation and marks the closing of the scheduled exhibitions. for this year.
Mr. Mourai stressed that the “Paradoxes” exhibition promotes the artist’s vision of “our world with all its contradictions, relying on different and diverse techniques, combining abstract styles and other trends.”
He noted that the exhibitions organized by the Foundation provide a platform for artists to give free rein to their creativity, stressing that the role of the Foundation is to make this space accessible to a wide audience, giving artists the opportunity to transmit their artistic visions and share them with as many recipients as possible.
