The Dakar flagrante delictos court has just given its verdict in the dispute between former parliamentarian Moustapha Diakhaté and the public prosecutor. The former parliamentarian is sentenced to 2 months in prison.
As desired by the Public Prosecutor who had requested a prison sentence against the former president of the parliamentary group Benno Bokk Yakkar, during the 13th legislature, the court sentenced Moustapha Diakhaté to prison.
Placed under arrest warrant last Monday, for having treated the Senegalese who have Pastef as “cursed people” Moustapha Diakhaté was arrested on November 24. And this evening’s verdict risks Pastef’s voters being sheltered from his insults until the end of next January. His lawyers, Me El’hadji Dioiuf and Me El’hadji Amadou Sall took a hard blow to the head. But, they haven’t thrown down the gloves yet….
