Eight months after the discovery bones of little Emile, in a path in Haut-Vernet, by a walker, Hubert Bonneau, the general director of the gendarmerie, returned to this affair on RTL, this Wednesday, November 27.

To our colleagues, he explains that it is a “complex file” and on which “20 investigators” are “permanently mobilized”

He adds that many “expertise” are carried out by experts from the Criminal Research Institute of the National Gendarmerie (IRCGN) Who “compare their results” to study them. He ensures that the police continue “to work hard.”

Regarding the consequences of the death of the young victim, the director general of the gendarmerie was cautious and explained “Let nothing be ruled out in this matter” before recalling that behind this affair, there is a family. “We are working to discover the truth so she can grieve.”, he continues.

Foreign DNA

However, a question still remains unanswered and to which Hubert Bonneau did not answer, emphasizing that the investigation is still ongoing and that only the public prosecutor will be able to answer it. This is DNA foreign to the family which would have been discovered on Emile's clothes.

Indeed, in October 2024, our colleagues from BFM DICI revealed that the investigators were working on the conclusions delivered by the medico-legal hematology laboratory who had found this famous DNA trace.
