Rabat – The Bayt Mal Al-Qods Al-Sharif Agency recently published the 27th issue of the magazine “Echoes of the Al-Qods Committee” which notably reviews the achievements of the Agency during the period 2019-2024.

This new issue focuses on the speech delivered by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, at the 15th Summit Conference of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held last May in Banjul, Gambia.

This issue, which was distributed to the participants in this summit, also includes the achievements of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency, the executive arm of the Committee, in the holy city, exceeding $13.8 million during the period 2019-2024.

The review also echoes the Arab and international reactions welcoming the initiatives of HM the King and the efforts of the Sovereign for the defense of Al Qods, as well as the efforts of the Kingdom of Morocco for the delivery of aid to the population of Gaza and the Maqdessis.

She also recalled the Agency’s activities and programs in various sectors, as well as its participation in the International Publishing and Book Fair in Rabat last May, in addition to other themes. These include the announcement of the second edition of the “Al-Quds Acharif” Awards for journalistic excellence in development media, the presentation of the medal of courage and bravery to the president of the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate, the visit of a delegation of American academics and students to the Agency and the announcement of the winners of the 5th edition of the “Colors of A-Quds” competition.

The issue also contains a dossier on the Digital Strategy of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency (2024-2027). The magazine thus highlights several activities and initiatives of the Agency within the framework of the implementation of this strategy.

In this regard, the director in charge of the management of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency, Mohamed Salem Echerkaoui, emphasizes in an editorial entitled “Digitization in the service of socio-economic development in Al-Quds”, that despite the difficulties, the Agency continues to implement its 2024 action plan in accordance with the enlightened vision of HM the King, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, which directs the work of the Agency towards concrete projects for the benefit of the Palestinians of Al-Quds and their institutions.

In May 2024 in Casablanca, the Agency unveiled its 2024-2027 digital strategy under the slogan “Digital development at the service of the economic and social development of Al-Quds,” he recalled.

On this occasion, the Agency announced all the projects included in this strategy with an annual budget of one million dollars, said Mr. Cherkaoui, noting that this announcement crowns the process of digitalization of the administration and the acquisition of the first certificates of conformity to international ISO quality standards. It also reinforces the institution’s efforts to modernize and develop its digital system in order to support the rise of digital technology.

Mr. Cherkaoui’s editorial also mentions the Agency’s announcement last May of the launch of new restoration and reconstruction projects for the Old City of Al-Quds and some of its neighborhoods, stressing that this process is a materialization of the High Royal Instructions to ensure the continuity of the daily work on the ground of the Al-Quds Committee, in parallel with the political effort undertaken by Moroccan diplomacy at several levels to support the Palestinian cause, protect Al-Quds and preserve its legal status.
