The automobile manufacturer Stellantis will produce the Citroën C4 in Morocco from 2027. The next generation of this model and that of the Citroën C4 “made in Spain”according to the French media L’Argus.
The model that Morocco has seized is that of the Citroën C4 and the Citroën C4 X. Currently, these two ranges are exclusively manufactured at the Villaverde factory, in Madrid, for the world market. The decision to relocate the production of these models to Morocco is part of a global strategy of Stellantis, which considers Moroccan factories as a reference. Stellantis, however, is not the first company to choose Morocco to produce its vehicles. Renault, for example, already assembles several models there, notably under its Dacia brand.
At the same time, Stellantis already produces models in Morocco such as the Citroën Ami, the Opel Rocks and the Fiat Topolino. Moroccan factories also manufacture the Peugeot 208, a high value-added model for the group, reflecting the growing importance of Morocco in Stellantis’ industrial strategy.
