The Caetano storm has claimed new victims. A very serious road accident occurred this Thursday evening in Val-de- on an icy and snowy portion of the A6b, near Chevilly-Larue. The accident, of which the images broadcast by the Fire Brigade (BSPP) are impressive, involved a bus from the BlaBlaCar company and four cars and motorcycles traveling in the Paris-Province direction, indicates the BSPP to 20 Minutes.

According to the Paris police headquarters cited by BFM the first report showed 36 injured, including 31 in relative emergency and five people in absolute emergency. One of the latter was “incarcerated” when emergency services arrived around 11:30 p.m.

According to the BSPP, 84 firefighters and 24 engines responded to the accident, working until 2:30 a.m.

This event is “directly linked to the degraded weather conditions following the passage of the Caetano storm”, added this police source.

No deaths to report

According to the company BlaBlaCar, 37 people were on board the bus which was traveling towards (Finistère). The company chartered a coach to repatriate these passengers to the departure station and an emergency number was also set up to answer questions.

Among our colleagues at BFMTV this Friday morning, the Minister of Transport, François Durovray, indicated “unless I am mistaken” that there were no deaths to report in the accident.
