DJ Snake, the famous French disc jockey of Algerian origin, revealed on a show broadcast on social networks that the Élysée administration had asked him to delete a message of support for Palestine that he had shared on the X platform (formerly Twitter).
While participating in NASTALK, a live show on Twitch, DJ Snake explained that the Macron administration had contacted his manager to pressure him to remove his tweet in favor of the Palestinian cause. Despite this request, DJ Snake, known for his commitment to Palestine, firmly refused to comply.
In his statements, he stressed that he “will not be among those who remain silent” about Palestine. “I am not a politician, my job is to make music,” he said, while specifying that he will not withdraw his message.
DJ Snake also commented on the events in Gaza, saying: “But at some point, I’m a human, with a heart, it was no longer possible to stay silent, I used my platform to speak out against this.”
This position sparked numerous reactions on social networks, where users criticized the attempt to silence voices supporting Palestine.
