In the Swiss daily newspaper BlickJoachim Son-Forget, the former French deputy of Switzerland, revealed her gender transitionMonday November 18, 2024. Besides, no more “Joachim”: when you address her, you have to call her Eva.
“It wasn’t easy to choose, but I like” this first name, which is “a reference to Eve, created from a rib of Adam,” said the former member of the majority presidential election, splashed by a scandal during the summer.
« [Ma transition] is no longer an alcove secret »
Parent of three children from 5 to 17 years oldEva Son-Forget insists on the importance of this “statutory change” from man to woman, which she wanted to make public.
When your transition is recognized by others, it becomes reality. It is no longer an alcove secret.
In the columns of Blick, Eva Son-Forget explained how she prepared her family for the news. “I explained [à mes enfants] that it didn’t change anything for them. That it was simply a continuation of my usual behavior,” she detailed.
They had observed my progress, particularly in my clothing. They must have understood. But last Saturday, I warned the little ones so that they could defend themselves at school.
Controversial positions
On June 15, 2024, the former deputy (then still under the identity of Joachim Son-Forget) was tested positive for cocaine after refusing to comply committed in the VIIe district of Paris. He was then taken into custody, reported our local editorial staff Paris news.
Referred on June 17, 2024, he was tried on August 19, 2024. For the alleged acts, he faced up to 5 years in prison and a fine of 75,000 euros. The verdict is not yet in.
The forty-year-old also sparked controversy by being one of those who relayed Benjamin Griveaux’s sex tape in 2020.
Among his other escapades, we can note his sexist remarks in 2018 against the environmentalist senator Esther Benbassa, to whom he had launched on social networks: “With the pot of makeup that you put on your head, you embody more than ever what you are clumsily trying to caricature.”
