A new deadly brawl. A 17-year-old young man was shot and killed on Sunday afternoon during a general brawl in Rumilly (Haute-Savoie), the Annecy prosecutor's office told AFP.
“Several young people took part in a fight in the city center” and one of them, aged 17, was killed “by firearm,” said the prosecution, confirming information from Dauphiné Libéré. The local daily specifies that the teenager was shot in the head.
Another 20-year-old man was seriously injured and taken to Annecy hospital. “His vital prognosis is in jeopardy,” underlined the prosecution. No arrests have been made “at this stage”, according to him.
“For a mayor, it’s complicated to experience things like that, we see in the media things happening in other municipalities and one day it happens in ours, we are not immune” , reacted the mayor of Rumilly Christian Dulac to our colleagues from France Bleu.
“We do not yet know the reasons for this brawl, but in any case, there is no reason to jeopardize the lives of these young people,” he continued. The flagrant murder investigation was entrusted to the research section of the Chambéry gendarmerie.
