The paid tickets were snapped up in three minutes. On Friday, some 2,000 people came to see the 16 bachelor collections, followed by the 11 master collections, parade at the Campus de la Head in Geneva. Once more palpable, the qualitative gap between bachelor level proposals and those matured during the master’s course is narrowing. The experimental aspect or the visual shock at all costs gives way to outfits that are generally more coherent and wearable, affirmed by the quality of finishes.

It is the delicate masculinity of Hippolyte Laporte which opens the stride of the silhouettes, with his tulles, his gathered jacket or even his sweater with reliefs such as petals. Evoking a romantic, cheeky and bourgeois inspiration à la Miu Miu, his collection addresses a popular theme such as the porosity between men’s and women’s wardrobe, but with a poetic and assumed tone, thus winning the “image and artistic direction” prize, awarded by the Designers’ Ball.
