Rabat – The National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE) opened, on Friday, the application files relating to the EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) plan for the realization of the strategic project of 3 GW very high voltage power line, which will connect the South to the Center of the Kingdom.

In a press release, ONEE indicates that as part of the call for expressions of interest and pre-qualification relating to this electric highway project linking Dakhla to Casablanca, five (5) of the world’s largest line constructors and direct current electrical substations have submitted their applications, namely: GE VERNOVA (USA), SIEMENS ENERGY (Germany), POWER CHINA SEPCO1 (China), TBEA (China) and LARSEN & TOURBO (India).

The selected EPC builder should take care of the design, construction and commissioning of the project under a turnkey construction contract, as well as some aspects of maintenance under a maintenance contract. long term (LTSA), concludes the press release
