As part of the Morocco-France Economic Days in Laâyoune-Dakhla, the delegation of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Morocco (CFCIM) recently visited the Dakhla Atlantique Port site.
Welcomed by Nisrine Iouzzi, Director of Port Development, the delegation was able to discover the broad outlines of this work, designed under the impetus of a royal vision to position Dakhla as a strategic hub for commerce and industry.
This logistics infrastructure will strengthen the region’s integration into the African continent and intensify trade with Europe, the Americas and beyond. The port includes 30 hectares of land for commercial activities and more than 1,500 meters of quays dedicated to the fishing industry, with an additional 26 hectares for ship repair infrastructure.
With an investment of more than 15 billion dirhams, the Dakhla Atlantic Port is designed to manage a volume of 20 million tonnes of goods, supported by an economic zone of 1,600 hectares and a dedicated zone of 200 hectares to promote the products of the fishing.
