According to Brice Berthoumieu, the CRS manager at the Alliance union, contacted by Toulouse News“the police officer was attacked because he was recognized.”

His wife “psychologically shocked”

Wounded, the CRS was nevertheless able to protect his partner from the blows. “His wife is not physically injured, but she is psychologically shocked”, assures the trade unionist, outraged by the news.

He reacts: “This is not the first time that colleagues have been attacked because they are recognized, particularly if they return to the sector where they are supposed to work. However, in daily life, they sometimes have to frequent the same places as these people. We see where laxity is leading us: they are no longer afraid of attacking the police, even outside of duty and around their family. »

Three police officers

The Alliance union is counting on the reaction of the justice system. An investigation is underway. Three men in their twenties were arrested and placed in custody.
